Summer Camp for Kids
Camp eXtremeEach year Metro Ministries sponsors a summer camp for hundreds of children living in the inner city of New York during the last two weeks of August. It provides an opportunity for needy children to get out of the city, learn to swim, fish, and just have fun in a safe and natural environment. This year, over 800 children received an all-expense paid trip to the camp adventure.
Camp Counselors NeededEach year, we take over 100 staff and volunteers to serve as camp counselors and activity coordinators. If you are over the age of 18, are willing to submit to a background check and want to make a difference in the life of a child by showing them the love of God, you can be involved in Camp 2007. You Can Send an Inner City Child to CampThe children who go to camp are able to attend because of scholarships provided from donors from around the world. You can sponsor a child in need to go to summer camp. The cost per child is $200 for the camp experience. Each child is also provided a Camp Care Package which includes items they often don’t have such as toiletries and towels, etc.
