Feeding the Hungry
Hunger is a threat facing children all over the world. To combat this threat, Metro Ministries holds annual food outreaches in the U.S. and overseas as well as operates a Mobile Bakery.
Each Thanksgiving, we distribute Boxes of Love, a 25-pound box filled with enough food to feed a family for one week, including a turkey just in time for the holidays. Because the need is so great, you can donate to this project year round. Every $25 you share provides one Box of Love.
Sunday School Lunch
In many children's homes, money runs out before the month is up so boys and girls come to Sunday School hungry. As an extension of our Sunday School ministry Metro Ministries provides lunch once a month for every boy and girl.
Mobile Bakery — Overseas
Our Mobile Bakery is a truck with a fully operational bakery inside. Able to produce 200 loaves an hour, it enables us to reach remote villages where food is scarce. Each loaf is made from a special mixture of ingredients that meets a child's complete nutritional needs for a day according to USDA standards. Our mobile bakery has helped feed thousands in Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria and soon, South Africa.
