Metro Ministries Eastern Europe partners with various Sunday School programs in the Ukraine and conducts various special outreaches throughout many countries.
Mobile Bakery
Hunger is a fact of life for many living in Eastern European nations. For this reason, Metro Ministries operates Mobile Bakery outreaches in countries like the Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria. The Mobile Bakery is a truck with a bakery built inside which enables us to reach remote villages where food is scarce. Able to produce 200 loaves an hour, we can deliver thousands of loaves of bread to hungry communities. The bread has a special mixture of ingredients that enables each loaf to provide a full day?s nutrition according to USDA guidelines.
Warm Feet Project
Realizing the need to provide practical help, especially in the bitter winter cold, Metro Ministries created the Warm Feet Project. The Warm Feet Project aims to provide as many children as possible with socks, shoes and boots to withstand the elements and protect their feet against the harsh winters. In its first year, The Warm Feet Project in Easter Europe was a success, reaching more than 1,000 children and their families.
2008 Warm Feet Project Breakdown:
Ukraine - 1,000 boots and socks handed out
Moldova - 210 boots and socks handed out
Bulgaria - 200 boots and socks handed out
