HELPING CHILDREN

South Africa leads the world in the number of people living with HIV/AIDS — as well as the number of children orphaned because of it. Recently, Metro Ministries began operations in Cape Town, South Africa. Metro works to bring AIDS awareness to children and their communities to help confront and hopefully slow the tide of this terrible epidemic.

Metro Ministries is a Christian, non-profit organization dedicated to serving inner city children throughout the five boroughs of New York City and in various urban centers around the world. The organization was established in 1980 and has been serving low-income, inner city children and their families for more than a quarter of a century.
